The all welded construction from thick shot blasted plate guarantees long life, extra vertical ribs in the pressing area to contain all of the pressing forces. The compact design with vertical tying system ensures minimum floor area requirement.
All areas subjected to heavy wear are protected by easily exchangeable bolted wear parts, thus extending the life of the wear parts and reducing operating costs.
Key assemblies are machined where precision is required and the structure is assembled in jigs to ensure tolerances are maintained.
The Lyndex Flex-Door is a feature that opens the way to an entirely new and innovative method of positively versatile baling. The Flex-Door allows fully automatic baling in either the “plug bale mode” or in the “bale separation mode” and also manages the ejection of an oversized bale in automatic. Upon completing the last compression stroke of a bale, the main ram simply stops wherever it senses that the “target size” of the bale has been achieved. The Flex-Door will the move to a position that is flush with the face of the main ram via a position feedback control system so that the ejection cycle can proceed.
Our experience has shown that unless the main ram penetrates the baler chamber at least 70%, the bale quality and integrity is poor and suffers proportionally for even less penetration. This is why Lyndex designed the Ram II series for at least 90% penetration of the main ram into the bale chamber. This feature, in conjunction with the high ram face pressure assures that the Ram II will produce bales of exceptionally uniform density that will retain their form far better than other two-ram balers.
The whole of the pressbox including the platen front and top and ejector ram are fitted with a replaceable Hardox 450 wear plates.
Hoppers on the Mid Range Ram II machines have been designed to be able to process all sizes of infeed material. Various hopper openings are available from 2200x1500mm to 2000x1800mm depending upon machine type.
The operator interface main touch screen has a graphical view of the machine showing all the important machine parameters such as pressure, bale length, temperature and material selection. The interface has been specifically designed to be user friendly with operators becoming familiar with the screens within minutes. Operators only have to select the material grade to be processed. The embedded recipe system chooses the correct machine parameters to produce the best bale possible.
All alarm functions are date and time-stamped and logged.
A Lyndex cloud-based data log system can also be incorporated as an option.
The hydraulic system incorporates the most up to date technology and reliability. At the heart of the system Lyndex utilises a two or three-stage pump arrangement, one or two-high volume vane pump and a variable displacement high pressure pump.
Filtration is by means of a pressure filter in line with the high volume pump. Oil is filtered down to 25 microns and the whole volume of oil is filtered 20 times each hour. Oil cooling is controlled automatically. Pressure and temperature transducers monitor hydraulic parameters.
The material stamper is designed to automatically clear material blockages from in front of the blade, when processing heavy grade material. The automatic operation keeps the machine in production, removing manual intervention, resulting in time-saving. Using a 24-tonne vertical cylinder the stamper assembly covers the whole width of the press chamber.
To help guide the bales from the machine, Lyndex can supply a bale exit chute.
The Lyndex cloud data log system allows for remote logging of all bales produced, broken down into material types. All material alarms are also data & time-stamped, and logged.
